Who's Your Daddy?

I had a strange, somewhat uncomfortable self-awareness last week. My 23 month baby called me "Sonny". Huh! I thought I was always going to be "Daddy", but somehow Evan came to the realization that her daddy has an identity different from being a daddy. She kept on repeating "Sonny" as if it were funny, trying to decipher the puzzled amusement look on my face. Sonny, Sonny, Sonny...

Reminds me of the 80's sitcom starring Tom Hanks and What's-His-Name.
